Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Dexter Interactive handles information when you use Recoil Duel.
Overview
Recoil Duel can be played without creating an account. Its core gameplay works offline. Dexter Interactive does not ask for your name, email address, contacts, or precise location inside the game.
The Recoil Duel website may separately offer an optional newsletter signup. Joining the newsletter is never required to play the game, and signup stays disabled unless the privacy and delivery services described below are configured.
Some versions may offer optional advertising, purchases, consent controls, or diagnostics. Those services can process limited device and usage information as described below.
Information that may be processed
- Device and app information: device model, operating system, language, app version, screen characteristics, and an app installation identifier.
- Network information: IP address and approximate country or region inferred from it.
- Advertising information: consent choices, advertising identifier when permitted, ad impressions, clicks, rewards, and fraud-prevention signals.
- Diagnostics: crash reports, performance information, and technical events used to keep the game stable.
- Purchases: product identifiers and transaction status supplied by Apple. Dexter Interactive does not receive your full payment-card details.
- Support messages: the email address, message, and technical details you choose to send us.
- Newsletter subscriptions: if you choose to sign up, we process your email address, consent choice, consent-statement version, subscription status, source website, and confirmation, signup, and unsubscribe timestamps.
- Website security information: to prevent abuse and preserve consent evidence, Dexter-controlled publishing tables store a keyed hash of the request IP address and do not store the raw IP address or user-agent value. The Cloudflare request gateway, Cloudflare Turnstile, Supabase, Vercel, and other infrastructure providers may process raw request or network information under their own policies. The keyed hash follows the retention and deletion schedule of the associated subscription and consent record.
How information is used
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the game.
- Deliver optional ads and rewards with your applicable consent choices.
- Process and restore purchases.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and invalid advertising activity.
- Respond to support and privacy requests.
- Send automated newsletter confirmation and welcome messages and, once a separate non-public sending workflow is verified, the development updates you requested. A completed unsubscribe action is recorded on the preference page and does not send a separate confirmation email.
- Meet legal, accounting, and platform obligations.
Service providers
Recoil Duel is built with Unity and may use Unity LevelPlay, Unity Ads, and related services for advertising, consent, and diagnostics. Purchases and distribution are handled by Apple. These companies process information under their own policies:
When newsletter signup is enabled, Dexter Interactive uses Supabase to validate requests and store subscription, consent, and source records; Resend to deliver automated confirmation and welcome messages and, after the separate sending workflow is verified, future Recoil Duel updates; and Cloudflare Turnstile to detect automated abuse. Vercel hosts this website, while Cloudflare continues to provide authoritative DNS for the domain. Google Workspace processes support and privacy messages sent to the branded addresses published below. These providers process information under their own policies:
- Supabase Privacy Policy
- Resend Privacy Policy
- Cloudflare Privacy Policy
- Vercel Privacy Policy
- Google Privacy Policy
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or our rights, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
Advertising choices
Where required, the game will request consent before using information for personalized advertising. You can decline optional consent, use device-level privacy controls, or play the core game offline. Declining personalized advertising does not necessarily remove non-personalized ads.
Retention and security
Unconfirmed and confirming newsletter requests are deleted after 7 days. Confirmed subscription records are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Unsubscribed suppression records are retained for 24 months so we can honor your choice and avoid sending future updates. Newsletter delivery metadata is retained for 90 days. Resend currently retains email data for 30 days across standard plans. Its account data, including email metadata, logs, and API records, remains stored in the United States regardless of the selected sending region. Resend's DPA says customer data is deleted within 90 days after account termination unless continued storage is required or authorized by law. Other third-party providers apply their own retention periods.
Newsletter records in the Supabase backend are separate from support and privacy correspondence. Mail sent to the published branded addresses is processed through Dexter Interactive's managed Google Workspace routes. Individual messages in the licensed owner's Gmail mailbox are scheduled for permanent deletion when they are more than 700 days old; later replies and messages have their own age and do not reset an older message's clock. The support Collaborative Inbox has private Google Groups conversation history enabled. Its Group archive is a separate store that is not removed by the Gmail mailbox rule and must be searched and deleted through the privacy-request procedure when an approved request covers it. Limited recovery copies may remain briefly in Google's backup systems after deletion from the active mailbox. A separate record may be retained longer when reasonably necessary for legal obligations, security investigations, fraud or abuse prevention, or dispute resolution. The newsletter backend's purge process does not delete copies held in a support mailbox or Group archive.
We use reasonable safeguards, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
Children
Recoil Duel is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly ask children under 13 to provide personal information. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information directly to us.
Your choices and requests
Newsletter signup uses double opt-in. Confirmation and unsubscribe links open the Dexter Interactive email-preferences page. Simply opening one of these links does not confirm or unsubscribe the address: you must complete a fresh Cloudflare Turnstile check and press the explicit action button. After confirmation, the welcome message and every future update include a link for leaving only the Recoil Duel list. You can also ask us to unsubscribe or delete your record.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal information. Email us with "Privacy Request" in the subject. We may need enough information to verify and fulfill the request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the game or its services change. The date at the top identifies the latest version. Material changes will be presented as required by law or platform rules.
